At the renovation of the Church in 1988 – nine magnificent Stained Glass Windows were specially created by Mr. George Walsh.

The three windows on the Gospel side of the church, starting at the back, depict the progression from the Stone Age to the Druid-Celtic period and finally to the Christian Era.

The three windows on the Epistle side symbolise the Shannon, the work of the people in the area, the elements, etc.

The windows at the back of the Church shows Resurrection, new life, hope, etc.

Symbols in the side windows are :

Birds – Holy Spirit, peace
Sun – Resurrection, eternity, life.
Water – Baptism, life, forgiveness.
Fish – Christ, “fishers of men”, etc.
Boat – The Church.

“So the Earth produced all kinds of plants, and God was please with what he saw.”
Genesis 1.1.2.

“Go then to all peoples everywhere and make them all disciples, baptise them in the name of Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.” Mt. 28 Ch. 19.

“While they were eating Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it and gave it to his disciples. ‘Take it,’ he said, ‘This is My Body’.” Mk.14.22.
